Yeezy told us go ‘head switch the style up and if they hate then let ’em hate. –GOOD Life
Hello fashionistas and istos!
The Yeezus concert was like attending a Kanye West Rap & Fashion Show where he lit up the stage with his artistic music genius. He called it “Creative Genius”.
So, yes, we attended the Yeezus Tour, and we were completely and utterly infatuated with the fashion scene in the hallways of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY and in the subway station getting back to Jersey. We were surrounded in a stadium full of Kanye inspired fashion and the best part about it is everyone looked dope. From the fur, to the leather, to the kick game, it was just ALL there and we all knew going to the concert met stepping out in your edgiest attire because that’s what Yeezy does and he taught his fans well.
Catarina and I decided to pull together looks that we felt were most appropriate for the show. These are some Kanye inspirations we styled ourselves from.

Kanye has been spotted numerous times in the Air Jordan Retro 1’s “Bred” and “Royal” and that is what led me to rock my AJ Retro 1’s “Shadow” with a distressed denim jacket, flannel, graphic tee, gold chain and a black hijab on my head.
He is also so infamous for his fur couture and black leather attire and that is what Catarina styled so flawlessly. ‘Ye is known for taking urban fashion and expanding it to the highest it can possibly go. He creates fashion rage in the couture world and sets the bar to where he became rap’s most fashionable.

Performing on stage was a fashion scene on its own as well. ‘Ye wore bejeweled full-face Maison Martin Margiela masks throughout his whole 2-hour long performance.
“I put that mask on, I just feel like I can do anything and that’s the freedom I want creatively…It’s the opportunity to be free. Our exterior that people see us in or the perception or the title that you have is kinda like a new mask and it’s not really who you are. Sometimes you just have ideas and people who are too afraid to say it out loud because you don’t want people to look at you crazy or get uninvited somewhere.”
It was a performance filled with tons of creative hiphop art along with symbols of acceptance and unique-ness. It was a performance you could only expect from Kanye and he did not disappoint if anything he made accept and understand everything he stands for. He does it all for his fans, and will never stop.
From the music to the fashion, the show was worth every penny.
